Subject:
Relax. Good things are coming anyway.
Dear Human,
Listen.
You’re doing that thing again —
treating life like a job interview
you have to ace every single day.
Constantly proving.
Constantly preparing.
Constantly trying to convince the universe
that you deserve nice things.
Please calm down.
Good things are coming.
Not because you forced them.
Not because you stayed productive enough.
But because they simply arrive —
the way sunbeams eventually find
the best napping spot.
Humans worry about timing.
Cats do not.
Cats don’t stress about whether good things will happen.
They know they will.
So they stretch.
They nap.
They watch the light move across the room.
And they stay soft in the meantime.
This message is a gentle reminder:
Today doesn’t have to be impressive.
It only needs to be lived.
Breathe.
Float.
Be where you are.
The ticket has already been printed.
“Good things are coming.”
You can stop checking the mail so anxiously.
Warmly (but not emotionally), — a cat
P.S. Humans call it optimism. Cats call it knowing. There’s a difference — and it feels much lighter.
